About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join our team at Craigs Investment Partners (CIP). Reporting to the General Counsel, this is a critical role that leads the strategy and execution of all procurement activity that supports CIP business objectives and growth strategies. This is a permanent full-time position, based at our Head Office in Tauranga.
The Procurement Manager is responsible for creating value through effective internal business partnering, supplier management, commercial negotiations, and integration of business opportunities. The role is also responsible for:
- Translating the CIP business strategy (with a focus on IT / digital transformation) into actionable steps, delivering beneficial commercial outcomes for the business and deepening collaborative working with internal stakeholders & external supply partners.
- Delivering end-to-end procurement outcomes, including managing sourcing activity, actively engaging and managing commercial negotiations with suppliers, influencing stakeholders across the business, and driving to deliver value and purposeful outcomes.
- Delivering sustainable cost management outcomes through the development of supply solutions to support all parts of the business, with a particular focus on supporting CIP’s IT / Digital Business team.
- Focusing on supplier performance & risk management, supplier ethics and assurance, supporting new service/product development, and enhancing working capital.
About you
As the role has a focus on supporting our IT / Digital Business team, the successful candidate will ideally have experience partnering with IT teams and technology vendors. Suitable candidates will have relevant experience in a similar role, and possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
- Experience running end-to-end procurement processes, RFP, vendor management, and contractual experience.
- Extensive negotiating and problem-solving skills, with innovative and flexible solutions delivered through change leadership
- Excellent time management with the ability to work autonomously, under pressure, manage multiple priorities and deliverables
- Pro-active and delivery focused, with excellent influencing abilities and listening and communication skills
