We now have a vacancy for a mature individual to work as a Practitioner at our Adult Residential Service, located on a six-acre park-like site in West Auckland. Working Tuesday to Saturday (40 hours per week), you will work the following rostered shifts: 

Tuesday 10.00am – 6.00pm

Wednesday 7.45am – 3.45pm

Thursday 10.00am – 6.00pm

Friday 2.15pm – 10.15pm

Saturday 2.15pm – 10.15pm

Working closely with the Clinical Manager and other members of the Adult Services team, you will be responsible for providing clinical treatment and support in partnership with tāngata whaiora (people seeking wellness) as part of a multi-disciplinary team. 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Up to 1 years’ clinical experience working in partnership with clients/ tāngata whaiora (clients seeking wellness) in a social services, health, addictions, or mental health care setting.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification e.g. Bachelor of Health Science, OT, Psychology, Social Work or post graduate diploma/certificate in AOD.
  • Registration or a willingness to work towards registration with DAPAANZ or another relevant professional body (with organisational support).
  • Ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • A willingness to embrace the Therapeutic Community (TC) method of treatment.
  • An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Māori tikanga and Pacific culture and customs. 
  • A full NZ driver’s license.

  • A salary between $67,225 - $77,272 depending on registration and experience.
  • Includes an annual allowance of $2500 for working evening/weekend shifts.
