We are looking to recruit a full-time permanent Practitioner with strong problem solving and people skills, to work at our Family Centre. You will be working at a 10-bed residential treatment facility in park like grounds. You will be supporting parents with addiction challenges, who have accompanying children living with them. 

The work is rostered and will include at least one evening and weekend shift as follows: 

  • Sunday 7.45am – 3.45pm
  • Monday 1.00pm – 9.00pm
  • Tuesday 7.45am – 3.45pm
  • Wednesday 2.15pm – 10.15pm
  • Thursday 7.45am – 3.45pm

Working closely with the Clinical Manager, you will be responsible for providing clinical assessment, treatment and support to tāngata whai ora (people seeking wellness). 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Up to 1 years’ experience working with clients and their family/whānau in a social services, addictions and/or mental health setting.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification e.g. Bachelor of Social Work, Health Science, OT, Psychology or post-graduate diploma/certificate in AOD
  • Ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • A willingness to embrace the Therapeutic Community (TC) method of treatment.
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Māori tikanga and Pacific culture and customs
  • A full NZ driver’s license.
