We’re on the lookout for a Personal Banking Advisor to join our amazing TSB team in our Waitara Branch. This is a great opportunity to grow your banking career within a highly successful, ambitious organisation that truly puts people first.

About the role

You’ll be the friendly first point of contact for our new and existing customers, supporting them through life’s financial moments, big and small. From everyday banking to longer‑term goals, you’ll listen, guide and connect customers with solutions that genuinely meet their needs.

This role is all about relationships. You’ll bring passion for great service, confidence in offering banking options and advice, and a strong customer‑first mindset. You’ll also have the independence to manage your day, use initiative when needed, and consistently do what’s right for our customers.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Deliver thoughtful, sound financial advice that educates and empowers customers
  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships that support customers’ financial wellbeing
  • Identify and proactively report Conduct, Compliance and Operational Credit risks
  • Work closely with your team to create positive, consistent customer experiences

About you

You’re naturally compassionate and enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life. You listen carefully, anticipate needs, and take pride in helping customers feel understood and supported.
You thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment, stay positive when things change, and bring a collaborative, ‘can‑do’ attitude to everything you do.

What we’re looking for

  • New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5)
  • 1–2 years’ experience in New Zealand banking or financial services
  • Confidence picking up new systems and processes quickly
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of engaging with customers at all levels
