The Opportunity: what this role is about?  

With recent growth in our services, we have several exciting opportunities to join our Permanent Reliver team as a Wake Over Support Worker. We have a variety of full time and part time positions available.  

As a Wake Over Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support in their home where routine is critical; following details plans to meet their needs. During a wake over shift, you will be providing support to our people who find it challenging to stay asleep overnight, who may need toileting assistance, general supervision to ensure their safety alongside tasks such as cleaning and completing documentation. 

This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level pays between $22.49 and $28.25 per hour.  

If successful you will be offered a contract with a specific number of weekly guaranteed hours/earnings, what these hours are is negotiable. We are a 24/7 operation - you would be rostered to work the same days each week, likely to include a weekend day. 

Rostered shift pattern:

  • Tuesday to Saturday
  • Thursday to Monday

80 hours hands on guaranteed

You'll be a team player, with a positive outlook, able to problem solve using sound judgement and skills to manage risk and make thoughtful decisions.  

Previous experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities is not a requirement. But you will need a willingness to learn and continue to develop your skills as a support worker.   

You must have a full driver’s licence and be eligible to work in New Zealand.  

Candidates will need to complete police vetting and Children's Act safety check.
