People and Culture Coordinator

We are seeking a full-time, 12-month fixed-term People & Culture Coordinator to provide parental leave cover within our People, Culture and Wellbeing team. Reporting to the Director People and Organisational Effectiveness, this role provides responsive and practical People support across the organisation, helping managers and kaimahi navigate People processes while ensuring information, records, systems, programmes and services are accurate, accessible and well maintained. The position supports effective People service delivery through strong coordination, practical guidance and continuous improvement of People processes and ways of working.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $71,197 and $84,501, dependent on skills and experience.
The People & Culture Coordinator is based in our People, Culture and Wellbeing team and will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and delivering People operational activities and requests through to completion.
- Providing managers and kaimahi with practical guidance on People processes, policies and resources.
- Maintaining People records, employment documentation, registers and personnel files.
- Supporting the quality and maintenance of People systems, data and reporting.
- Coordinating People-led training, development programmes and learning activities.
- Coordinating onboarding and induction activities for new kaimahi.
- Maintaining People information, resources and content across internal platforms.
- Developing and improving People forms, templates, self-service tools and documentation.
- Supporting the delivery of People and Organisational Effectiveness projects and improvement initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, administration, systems and ways of working.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in a People & Culture, Human Resources or similar environment.
- Sound understanding of employment processes and the employee lifecycle.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence working with systems, databases and digital tools.
- Experience maintaining records, reports and documentation.
- Strong customer service skills and a collaborative approach to working with others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and experience with HRIS, recruitment or SharePoint systems.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering quality outcomes.
