We’re looking for a People & Culture Coordinator to join our team in Timaru and deliver efficient, people-focused HR support. Being a valued member of the P&C team, you’ll work closely with our P&C Advisors to support a collaborative and high-performance culture.

About the Role 

As a People & Culture Coordinator, you’ll play an important role in supporting day-to-day HR operations and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. It’s a varied, hands-on role where your organisation, attention to detail, and proactive approach will really shine. 

You’ll work closely with managers, support workers, and the wider operational team to ensure smooth and effective HR support across the region. 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Coordinating recruitment activities, including advertising, interview organisation, and reference checking 
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems 
  • Preparing payroll documentation and acting as a liaison between Payroll and employees 
  • Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes 
  • Providing first-line HR administrative support to managers and employees 
  • Assisting with policy implementation and compliance 
  • Supporting People & Culture initiatives 
  • Assisting managers with performance, attendance, and leave processes 


About You 

You’re organised, approachable, and solutions-focused, with a natural ability to build positive relationships and keep things on track. 

You’ll bring: 

  • Previous administration experience (HR exposure and/or working towards a qualification in HR preferred) 
  • Highly personable and energetic, you are an awesome team player who builds credibility and establishes trusting relationships quickly with a diverse range of people, while inspiring, empowering, and influencing others 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Good organisation and time management skills, with the ability to juggle priorities 
  • Confidence handling confidential information with discretion 
  • Comfort learning new systems and working across a variety of tasks
