Toi Ohomai is seeking a capable and confident People Advisor – Industrial and Employment Relations to join our People, Culture and Wellbeing team.
This role is part of a newly formed People, Culture and Wellbeing team, established following organisational change to strengthen capability, clarify accountabilities, and support a sustainable, future‑focused operating model.
The role is a mid‑level people advisory position with delegated responsibility for first‑level industrial and employment relations support across an allocated portfolio of Schools and Directorates. Working in close partnership with a People Business Partner, the role contributes to both generalist people advisory delivery and specialist portfolio activity.
You will play a key role in stabilising and strengthening people practice across Toi Ohomai by delivering high‑quality, timely and compliant advice, documentation and coordination across the employment lifecycle, while also contributing to the development and implementation of people frameworks, policies and standards.
The position reports structurally to the Head of People and Safety and has a functional reporting relationship to the People Business Partner – Employment and Industrial Relations.
