Led by our vision, “Antarctica and the Southern Ocean - valued, protected, understood”, we are the Crown entity responsible for developing, managing and executing New Zealand government activities in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean. This includes accountability for Scott Base, the Antarctic research station which supports science in the Ross Sea region.

About the role
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced people and culture professional to play a key role in leading and delivering our people strategy. In this role you will be a trusted advisor to our Senior Leadership Team and will partner with leaders across our organisation to build capability and drive a high performing culture.
Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services, this is a generalist role working across the entire employee lifecycle. You will have two direct reports and will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality HR services and employment relations support. You’ll ensure that our people frameworks, policies and practices reflect our values and are aligned with our organisational goals.
To be successful in this role, you’ll be great at building strong relationships across the organisation and comfortable moving between strategic thinking and operational delivery.
