You will need the following:
· A minimum of one year's successful tertiary study
· A willingness to assist other students and an ability to communicate effectively
· Respond promptly to contacts by SLS staff to arrange timely tutoring sessions
· Assist students to become independent learners
· Be reliable and keep tutoring commitments
· Identify the student’s needs through questions, observation and communication
· Abide by the Code of Conduct for Students, Peer Tutors, and Student Mentors Appointment of a peer tutor does not guarantee that your services will be required
· Work is allocated when a student requests a peer tutor in their subject area.
