The role:
The role of Peer Support Service Manager is responsible for the development, management and provision of peer support services and the day-to-day delivery of a range of recovery focused support services. A personal lived experience of mental illness/distress and/or addiction is essential for this role as well as experience managing and/or leading peer support workers within a health or community setting.
This is a varied and exciting role as a member of WALSH Trust’s Senior Leadership Team; it is based in West Auckland. Reporting to the General Manager, you will also be working closely with the Executive Team in developing a strategic vision for the delivery of peer support services that align with the Consumer/Peer Support/ Lived Experience (CPSLE) Competencies and support the growth of peer support options for our communities.
It is an expectation that these services consistently represent the leading edge in evidence-based, recovery-focused community-based support services, while meeting contractual expectations and obligations.
Responsibilities:
· Leadership – operational and strategic - activities that contribute to the development and overall well-being of WALSH Trust, and the provision of exceptional services.
· Management of a team of Peer Support Workers delivering services in the community
· Ensuring health and safety
· Relationship management with key external stakeholders
· Participating in an on-call roster
