About the role: 

We are seeking a Payroll/HR Administrator to join our HR team based in Tauranga. 

This role is a minimum of 30 hours per week, however we are happy to negotiate hours for the right person. 

Reporting to the HR Manager and working closely with the HR Administrator, the responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing high quality administrative support to the day-to-day operations of the Payroll and HR  projects and initiatives.
  • Providing Help Desk support to employees.
  • Liaising closely with our employees and payroll company to ensure the smooth running of the fortnightly payroll process.
  • Assisting with the planning and coordination of our recruitment activities and programs. 
  • Assisting with the onboarding, induction, offboarding and parental leave processes. 
  • Assisting with Health & Safety processes and administration.
  • Assisting the HR Manager and HR Administrator in key HR processes.

We are looking for an individual with: 

  • Previous payroll experience. 
  • Administration experience in a professional services environment.
  • Strong team player with a high level of emotional intelligence. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and be able to maintain confidentiality. 
  • The ability to be adaptable and prioritize within a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent attention to detail.
