We are looking for a Parts Manager with a proven track record to join our team in our dealership in Whangarei. You will have a passion for selling and the Automotive industry and are ready to take your career to the next step with a top performing brand and respected truck dealership.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Parts Manager will work in a busy, varied and exciting department.  The key responsibilities are:

Providing support to our Whangarei workshop with their parts requirements, this role will grow as the workshop increase their customer base; and

Customer sales and enquiries relating to the parts department via telephone, email and counter service incorporating retail, trade, and our new and used truck sales department.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the successful financial performance of the Parts Department
  • Ensuring the operation and performance of the team is well managed
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Managing and maintaining the parts inventory system
  • Implementing, measuring and managing continual improvements to processes and standards

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a leadership role with a strong internal and external customer focus ideally in the automotive industry. You will also demonstrate:

  • A strong knowledge of parts procedures and processes
  • A strong background in parts sales
  • An ability to implement continuous improvements to business systems and/or processes
  • A willingness to work with people to achieve positive results
  • Strong demonstrated leadership skills, and a dedication to ensuring employee engagement and retention
  • Excellent communication skills
