Parts Apprentice – Tauranga
An exciting opportunity has become available within our Tauranga Parts Team following an internal promotion. Opportunities like this don't come around often, making this the perfect chance for someone looking to build a long-term career in the heavy automotive industry.
As our Parts Apprentice, you'll receive comprehensive on-the-job training while completing a nationally recognised MITO Apprenticeship. You'll learn every aspect of our parts operation and develop the skills and knowledge needed to progress into a Parts Consultant role.
What you'll be doing:
- Learning all aspects of truck parts operations and inventory management
- Assisting customers by identifying and supplying the correct parts
- Receiving, picking, packing and dispatching parts
- Maintaining accurate stock control and inventory records
- Working alongside experienced Parts professionals who will support your development
What we're looking for:
We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in the automotive industry and a willingness to learn. Whether you've worked in automotive parts, warehousing, retail or customer service, recently completed school or a pre-trade course, or you're looking to start a long-term career in the industry, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll also have:
- A genuine interest in the automotive industry
- Previous experience in automotive parts, warehousing, retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good computer literacy
- A reliable team player with a strong work ethic
- A desire to build a long-term career in the automotive industry
