Parts Advisor - Ingham North Harbour
About the role
This Parts Advisor role is based at Ingham North Harbour, our Hyundai, Isuzu and Renault dealership in Glenfield, Auckland. You will work Monday to Friday, 7.30 am to 5.00 pm, with rostered Saturdays 8.00 am to 12.00 pm.
As Parts Advisor, you are the go-to person for selecting, advising on and ordering parts and accessories. You will look after both the workshop and the customer counter, and handle phone enquiries from our key trade customers. The service you provide directly drives parts sales, dealership performance and customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining customer relationships to maximise repeat business.
- Receiving and recording booking and parts sales information accurately.
- Answering enquiries and fulfilling parts orders at the counter and over the phone.
- Working alongside service advisors and technicians to supply the parts needed for service repair orders.
- Using the Electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC) to locate part numbers.
- Checking parts deliveries from distributors and suppliers against invoices.
- Preparing monthly returns to distributors and suppliers.
- Monitoring stock to minimise obsolescence, and recommending repatriation or disposal where needed.
- Keeping current with all training offered by Hyundai, Isuzu and Renault.
Skills and experience
- A full, clean New Zealand Driver's Licence.
- At least three years' parts experience in a dealership or the aftermarket.
- Detailed knowledge of the trade market for automotive parts.
- Confident using dealership management systems and industry parts software.
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and stay organised under pressure.
- Self-motivated, with a high level of personal integrity.
- A clear communicator, in person, over the phone and in writing.
- Current legal right to work in New Zealand.
