Baywide Community Law is looking for an administrative superstar to join our Tauranga based team. As our Administrative Coordinator you will be responsible for the day-today implementation of  our administrative processes and as such we require someone who is organised, efficient and able to deal with a wide variety of people in an empathetic manner.  

For the successful candidate we are happy to offer flexible hours and can also facilitate starting in either December or in January after the Xmas holidays.

What will the role involve?

  • Scheduling, marketing and logistics for Baywide clinics and community engagement events
  • Health and safety responsibilities including monitoring and reporting
  • Office administration including staff support, office purchasing and petty cash management
  • Inventory management of assets   such as telephones and computers, and management of vehicles
  • Working closely with the Client Coordinators in Tauranga and Whakatane to support them in dealing with incoming enquiries and covering these duties when necessary

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Prior administrative experience - legal, community based or non-profit organisations are advantageous
  • A paralegal or similar qualification and/or knowledge and experience would be advantageous
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional people management skills 
  • Strong computer literacy and the ability to work with an online database
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of tikanga Māori 
  • Multi-lingual skills, particularly Te Reo Māori, would be advantageous
