Palletising Chargehand - Nightshift
In this role you will be a key member of our permanent packhouse team.
About the Role*
* Co-ordinate pallet stacking staff to efficiently load finished goods cartons onto export pallets
* Monitor market access of finished goods and coordinate their stacking
* Liaise with the Production Planner to understand upcoming sales requests and discuss the most efficient way to fill those requests.
* Liaise with quality staff around market access requirements
* Ensure product traceability is maintained in accordance with quality systems. Effectively manage non-conforming product and isolation protocols.
This role is on Night Shift hours during our packing season which is normally from mid-February until the end of October. Night Shift hours are 4.30pm - 2.30am Sunday - Friday. Off-season hours are Monday-Friday 6am-4pm.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in a packhouse or food manufacturing environment desirable
- Knowledge of dispatch processes
- Experience training and supervising of others
- Accurate and efficient
- Be physically fit and healthy, able to work on your feet all day.
- Must have excellent vision.
- Able to carry out and follow instructions.
- Reliable and can work unsupervised.
- Available to work up to six days per week
- Prepared to work to meet production deadlines.
- Co-operative and works well in a team.
- You must be legally able to work in New Zealand and be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
