Packhouse Quality Lead 2IC Day Shift
The Role
The Quality Team ensure our fantastic miniature apples get to our customers round the world in top condition. In this role you will be supporting this team and enabling them to be able to be their best. This role includes:
- Being a key member of the day shift packhouse quality team
- Ensuring accurate, timely and quality documentation and data is in place
- Taking part in inspections, audits and testing
- Supporting the growth of Rockit
- Stepping into support the Shift Quality & Phytosanitary Lead (Q&P) as required
The packing season runs from mid-February until late October. This role will work day shift hours during the packing season up to 65 hours per week Monday-Saturday and up to 40 hours per week in the off-season Monday-Friday.
Dayshift hours are:
Monday to Saturday 6.00 am – 4.00 pm.
Skills and experience you need
- Experience in quality control and HACCP systems for apple export packhouse and cool storage operations
- Completed Phytosanitary training
- Experience in supervising a team
- Experience in training team members
- Team player with good people and relationship management skills
- Proactive approach to problem solving
