Southern Cross Invercargill Hospital is the southernmost private surgical hospital in the Southern Cross network, it is widely known and used by people throughout the Southland and Queenstown-Wakatipu basin areas. The hospital features advanced theatre systems, including robotic orthopaedic surgery. Our highly skilled and caring team provide excellent care to 4200 patients per year. Our elective surgical services include Breast; Endoscopy and Gastroenterology; General; Gynaecology; Ophthalmology; Oral and Maxillofacial; Orthopaedic; Ear Nose and Throat; and Urology surgery.

Ready to lead a team that makes a real difference to every patient's surgical journey? As our PACU, Day Stay, Endoscopy & Pre-admission Services Manager, you'll provide inspiring clinical and operational leadership across four critical services, ensuring exceptional patient care from pre-admission through to recovery. Working closely with medical specialists, multidisciplinary teams and hospital leaders, you'll create a culture where people thrive, patient outcomes excel, and every experience reflects the highest standards of care.
This is a dynamic leadership role where you'll combine your clinical expertise with strategic thinking to drive service excellence. You'll lead and develop high-performing teams, champion quality improvement, patient safety and evidence-based practice, while ensuring resources are used efficiently and services operate effectively. From coaching and mentoring your people to strengthening relationships with specialists and leading continuous improvement initiatives, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of perioperative services.
No two days will be the same. You'll balance clinical leadership with operational management, overseeing workforce planning, budgets, quality and risk, health and safety, and service performance.
