 Outcomes Manager 

We are looking for an experienced and passionate disability professional to lead our outcomes programme.

For nearly 30 years, SILC has been supporting disabled people to live full, meaningful, and inclusive lives. We walk alongside the people we support to build independence, belonging, and opportunities to do the things they enjoy most.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Outcomes Manager to join our team. This is a key leadership role focused on strengthening our ability to deliver meaningful life outcomes for the people we support. The role combines leadership, training, advocacy, programme development, and quality practice to ensure our services align with Enabling Good Lives principles, Social Role Valorisation, and best practice in disability support.  This is a full-time role, 80 hours per fortnight.

This is an opportunity to influence organisational practice, develop staff capability, and champion the voices of disabled people and their whānau.

About the role

As Outcomes Manager, you will play a vital role in leading and embedding outcome-focused practice across SILC. You will work collaboratively across the organisation to build staff capability, strengthen leadership, and ensure the people we support are at the centre of everything we do.

Key responsibilities include:

· Lead and manage training programmes that build workforce capability and align with industry best practice. 

· Develop staff capability through coaching, mentoring, and strengthening induction and internal training initiatives. 

· Support and coach line managers to strengthen leadership practice and improve service delivery outcomes. 

· Implement leadership development programmes that build confidence, skills, and accountability across teams. 

· Source and facilitate external training opportunities to expand staff knowledge and enhance practice. 

· Develop programmes that build autonomy and capability for the people we support, promoting rights, citizenship, and self-advocacy. 

· Create meaningful opportunities for people and whānau to contribute, influence, and lead across the organisation. 

· Drive quality improvement by supporting goal planning, auditing outcomes, tracking progress, and embedding the best practice and innovation sector.

About you

You are a values-driven leader with a strong commitment to disability rights, inclusion, and person-led practice. You bring significant experience in the disability sector and have a proven ability to develop others, influence practice, and lead meaningful change.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

· 5+ years’ experience in partnering with disabled people.

· Extensive experience applying Enabling Good Lives principles in practice.

· Strong advocacy experience for disabled people both within and outside service systems.

· Advanced knowledge of Social Role Valorisation (SRV).

· Strong understanding of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

· Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

· Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.

· The ability to coach, influence, motivate, and empower others.

· Strong planning, organisation, and systems-thinking capability.

· Competence in Microsoft Office 365
