Orchard Development Manager

Sunfruit is a multi-generational, Kiwi-owned, family company who is a well-established grower, packer and shipper of pipfruit and stonefruit. We have recently been refreshed and we are hitting the ground running! Our fruit is mainly seen in Countdown stores year-round and we also export all over the world under our own brand called Pickmee Fresh Ltd. An exciting opportunity has come up for an experienced Orchardist/Manager to join the team as an Orchard Development Manager.

The Orchard Development Manager is to contribute to company growth by optimising production of young plantings and managing employees who are carrying out development work.

For the specific role of Orchard Development Manager we are looking for the following qualities in a person:

• Previous experience in orchard work
• Ability to coordinate and manage staff
• A Keen interest in the development of young plantings

Hours of work will be 40 hours a week with only minimal over-time so it will suit someone looking for work-life balance.
