Are you a dynamic leader who is solution focused and able to manage a team across several disciplines? 

We are seeking an experienced manager who has experience in overseeing workshops, laboratories and general facilities management. You will have an outgoing personality and be comfortable working in a progressive team. You will need to work closely with colleagues to support their teams in the delivery of academic programmes on a daily basis. An aptitude to meet financial targets and operate under tight financial constraints with an ability to liaise with industry to negotiate pricing of products is required. 

The appointing salary for this role will be between $105,400 and $125.000, dependent on skills and experience.

The Operations Manager is based at our Rotokauri Campus reporting to the Group Director and will be responsible for: 

  • Leading the Group’s technical team to deliver technician/logistics services supporting in the delivery of our academic programmes.
  • Ensuring the efficient running and data integrity of the warehousing and technical services supporting the Centres through constant planning, organising, change management, direction and control.
  • Ensuring that the Group meets all legislative requirements for health and safety, hazard ID, hazardous good storage as well as ensure all testing/compliance requirements are achieved and maintained.
  • Identifying, developing and maintaining strong relationships and networks with key stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A minimum of five years previous Operations management experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Ability to be innovative, to question the status quo and to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Able to exercise judgement in problem solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues to resolve issues and meet agreed outcomes.
