Port Taranaki is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Operations division. This role will provide administration support to the Operations team - Marine Services (Tug Team, Launch Team, Pilots), Wharf and Cargo Services and Communications & Security - as well as support to our Head of Operations.

There is a high level of diversity within this role, in a truly unique work environment, which means that no two days will be the same! For example, within the same day you could be working with the Operations team on project work, setting up meetings for the Head of Operations, or liaising with key stakeholders on developing or updating policies or procedures.

We are seeking a candidate who enjoys:

  • Working autonomously with the ability to confidently meet and achieve deadlines
  • Communicating with people in an effective, efficient, and proactive manner
  • Providing outstanding customer service when dealing with colleagues, customers and suppliers

We like to set people up for success, so you'll also need:

  • A background in process documentation, formation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) along with strong technical writing and document control skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and CRM systems knowledge
  • Prior experience in project management administration
  • Confident report writing skills
  • Prior experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role
