Southern Discoveries is looking for a highly motivated and organised manager for our Milford Sound Day Cruise operation. This is a key leadership role and will report to the Cruise Operations Manager. You will oversee the Boat Hosts in terms of rostering, training, performance & development, customer service, and operational excellence You will also be responsible for general administration, stock control and ordering, reporting, and process improvement.
What do we need from you?
The role is all about ensuring our Milford Sound guests have an outstanding experience. We have fun, but we also work very hard!
The Milford team work on a roster of 10 days on and 4 days off, minimum 70 hours per fortnight. You will have your own room, with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities in the accommodation block. Living and Board is subsidised.
You will have previous experience in operational leadership roles, and will be comfortable and experienced managing a team. You will thrive on the nuts and bolts of leading the daily operations in a busy environment. You will have a really strong work ethic, customer service focus, and enjoy dealing with issues as they arise, implementing new processes and improving existing ones to make a lasting difference to the success of the business.
