We’re a small, fast-paced business operating within the rural and dairy servicing sector, looking for a reliable Office All-Rounder to manage the day-to-day running of the office and keep everything behind the scenes operating smoothly.

This is a sole-charge role (with support from an off-site accountant) covering administration, customer communication, job coordination, and basic accounts support.

You’ll need solid prior experience in office administration, strong initiative, a practical hands-on approach, and the ability to solve problems confidently without close supervision.

Hours of this full-time role are Monday to Friday: 8am – 5pm.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Answering phone calls and emails and managing customer enquiries
  • Coordinating jobs and assisting with scheduling field technicians
  • Keeping job records, customer details, and paperwork accurate and up to date
  • Supporting invoicing and basic accounts administration (currently using QuickBooks, with a planned transition to Infusion)
  • Managing day-to-day office tasks and keeping things organised
  • Supporting communication between office and field teams
  • Assisting with basic HR administration (onboarding, paperwork, records)
  • Helping improve systems and processes as the business grows

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in office administration, coordination, or similar support roles
  • Experience with accounting or job management systems (QuickBooks or similar systems such as Infusion would be a bonus, but not essential)
  • A practical, reliable approach with strong initiative
  • Excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Confidence managing multiple tasks in a busy, fast-moving environment
  • Clear communication skills and ability to deal confidently with customers and staff
  • A strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently
  • Comfort working in a changing, hands-on, and sometimes unstructured environment

Candidates with experience in trades, agriculture, rural services, or service-based industries will have an advantage.

What’s on Offer

  • Sole-charge role with real responsibility and ownership
  • Varied work — no two days are the same
  • Down-to-earth, practical working environment
  • Opportunity to help improve systems and processes as the business grows
  • Long-term role within a stable, established business
