Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursing Lecturer to join our School of Nursing at EIT | Te Pūkenga, based in Taradale, Hawke’s Bay. This role is vital in delivering high-quality education within the Bachelor of Nursing programme, supporting student learning through both classroom and practical experiences. You’ll contribute to curriculum development, online teaching, assessment, and research, while fostering a culturally safe and inclusive learning environment.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $79,416 and $89,639. The Salary is Negotiable, dependent on Qualification, Skills and Relevant Experience.
The Nursing Lecturer is based in our School of Nursing, reporting to the Assistant Head of School / Practicum Manager – Nursing, and will be responsible for:

  • Teaching and developing nursing course content
  • Facilitating practical and online learning experiences
  • Supporting student academic progress and wellbeing
  • Participating in curriculum and course development
  • Contributing to research and professional development

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current practising certificate as a Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor of Nursing (essential); postgraduate qualification (desired)
  • Experience in nursing practice and tertiary teaching (desired)
  • Strong communication, planning, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to cultural safety and Mātauranga Māori knowledge
