We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse with the relevant background and leadership skills, who values quality and communicates effectively to motivate others and build relationships.

Our Nurse Team Leader will have the capacity to support and mentor the Primary Health team comprising Nurses and Health Care Assistants. They will be a proactive professional who instils passion for Primary Care, promotes and encourages professional development, engages with the team and empowers the Primary Health team to work to the top of their scope of practice. The Nurse Team Leader will work a mixture of clinical sessions as well as the Team Leader role. We support having new nurses in Primary Healthcare and often have nursing students and Net P (first year new nurses) in our team.

To be suitable for this role you will:

· Be an experienced Practice Nurse with rights to work in New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate

· Have demonstrated leadership skills with previous co-ordination role (s)

· Be flexible to meet service demands

· Be known for being solution-orientated

· You will have a proactive approach and enjoy what you do and thrive from the success of a cohesive and caring team

· Be a team player.

This role will ensure an overarching clinical presence and expertise for nurses and patients by:

· Providing excellent clinical leadership and staff management

· Being recognised as a Clinical expert/resource by staff

· Working clinically alongside staff to influence effective and high quality nursing practice

· Facilitating process improvement through a focus on quality outcomes

· Ensuring effective management of patient flow and resources

· Building and maintaining effective working relationships with all staff

· Reviewing and designing best practice systems and processes for patient management.
