Night Shift Quality and Phytosanitary Shift lead
Join our team as a Night Shift Quality Lead and play a key role in making sure every apple that leaves our packhouse meets the highest standards. In this hands-on role, you’ll guide our night shift quality team, oversee packhouse quality processes, and help deliver the consistency and taste we’re known for around the world. This is a full-time permanent role that works:
- 40 hours per week in the off-season between Monday - Friday
- 65 hours per week in the packing season. The packing season currently runs between February and October/November, Monday-Saturday, 04:30pm - 2:30am.
About the Role
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of quality documentation and reporting
- Assist with management of packhouse quality procedures and HACCP system
- Train and lead the shift QC’s
- Complete inspections as required
- Complete internal audit and reviews
Skills and Experience required for the role
- Experience in quality control and HACCP systems for apple export packhouse
- Completed Phytosanitary training.
- Team player with good people and relationship management skills
- Advanced computer skills, including ABC, Excel, Microsoft Office
- Experience leading a team and training staff.
- Proactive approach to problem solving with the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Empathy towards different cultures and beliefs in a working environment
