Night Shift Freezer Forklift & Class 2 Driver

We’re seeking a dependable, safety-obsessed Night Shift Warehouse Forklift/Class 2 Driver who thrives in a freezer environment and owns the on-site movement of Class 2 trucks. You’ll be the linchpin that keeps trucks rotating, orders flowing, and customer deliveries on time.

What You’ll Do

• Work primarily in our –24 °C freezer: pick, pack, and rotate frozen stock using FIFO principles
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely, in both ambient and sub-zero zones
• Serve as the primary Class 2 driver within our yard—sequencing, plugging in, and positioning trailers for nightly load-outs
• Using a forklift, load orders in dispatch sequence, verify documentation, and hand off to drivers with zero errors
• Monitor trailer and freezer temperatures, reporting any deviations immediately
• Collaborate with Despatch and Warehouse Teams during shift briefings and emergency load-downs
• Uphold Bidfood’s HACCP-based Food Control Plan and Health & Safety standards at all times

Who You Are

• Hold a current Class 2 licence and a valid  forklift licence 
• Must have a relevant qualification at NZQF Level 4 or minimum of 3 years of relevant warehouse/freezer experience 
• Comfortable spending extended periods in a sub-zero environment and consistently wearing required PPE
• Physically fit, with high levels of manual-handling skill and a keen eye for accuracy
• A self-starter who communicates proactively and works seamlessly within cross-functional and multicultural teams
• Available for rostered night-shift work, with reliability and strong time-management skills
