An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full-Time Monza Sports Bar Manager to join our talented and diverse Food & Beverage Team at Christchurch Casino. This is a chance to own the vibe, drive unforgettable nights, and turn sport into an experience guests can’t get anywhere else.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving atmosphere through sport, creating and hosting engaging events such as beer tastings, quiz nights, and live music events, and delivering strong nightly revenue performance within one of our most dynamic venues. Using your sporting knowledge and all our screens, you will continuously identify opportunities to grow trade, increase customer engagement and enhance the overall Monza experience.
On shift, you’ll lead from the front. You’ll set the tone, inspire your team, and ensure every night delivers energy, atmosphere, and strong revenue performance. You’ll track what works, evolve the event line-up, step into Duty Manager coverage across the business when required, and ensure Christchurch Casino Host Responsibility standards are upheld at all times.
This newly established role will work five evenings per week, primarily Wednesday to Sunday however a level of flexibility with days and hours will be required to ensure alignment with major global sporting events. This is a great opportunity to shape the role and make it your own, and leave your mark on one of the Casino’s most dynamic venues.
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- A genuine passion for sport, events, and creating standout guest experiences
- Leadership experience in a fast-paced bar or hospitality environment
- Strong operational capability with sharp commercial awareness
- Confidence to take ownership, work autonomously, and make decisions
- Excellent communication skills - including the confidence to host events on the mic
- A flexible, collaborative mindset and a cool head under pressure
- A Duty Manager Licence (or willingness to obtain one)
This role is ideal for someone operating at Duty Manager level who’s ready to take full ownership of a single venue and drive both operational and commercial success.
