Our client Bayform Engineering have a solid reputation within the industry of over 25 years’ service. From consultation to design, production and installation, Bayform Engineering specialise in Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Sheetmetal and General Fabrication work. 

Servicing a broad spectrum of clients from off the street customers with small scale jobs to large companies with specific engineering requirements they service the Bay of Plenty as well as national and international clients.

The Role

In this role, you will be primarily workshop based, working from start to finish on a range of stainless steel and aluminium projects. This will include reading and interpreting CAD drawings and shop sketches and welding with precision to ensure you produce consistent, quality work. You will support your team mates with challenging projects and have an uncompromising approach to Health and Safety. 

The requirements

To be successful in the role, you will be required to have the following skills and attributes:

  • Ideally sheet metal trade qualified, or at least five years of relevant skills in the industry or somebody that is nearly completion of apprenticeship 
  • High standard of finishing where required, confident TIG & MIG welder 
  • Proven stable work history
  • Can communicate effectively at all levels
  • Be a motivated team player but able and confident to work unsupervised as required
  • Positive can do attitude 
  • Interpret CAD drawings, shop sketches & verbal description of work to be undertaken
  • Minimum of a Class one driver’s license
  • NZ Residency or a valid NZ work visa
