WALSH Trust is a well-established and respected award winning provider of community mental health services. He Kākano Ora (Seeds for Life) provides support for mums and babies across the Waitemata and Auckland District Health Board regions. As a Maternal Mental Health Support Worker every day will be different as we do whatever it takes to help.
Our respite facility is a six bed, purpose built house in West Auckland. Mums and their babies come to stay with us for short periods in order to improve their mental health and to maintain wellness. Similarly, we work with mums in their own homes and communities, walking alongside them in their recovery journey. The strengths approach and belief in the recovery model drives the way we work with people, so an understanding of these is vital. This is a practical role that can include a range of tasks and duties supporting mothers and their babies in the community. The role is full time - 40 hours per week - working morning, afternoon and day rostered shifts, including weekends.

As per Ministry of Health time frames, WALSH Trust require all employees to have had their first, second and booster COVID-19 vaccination doses.

Under the requirements of the Children’s Act 2014, new candidates that are identified as coming under this act are required to undergo further safety checks as part of the recruitment process.
