  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with Support Workers and other clinical team members to anticipate challenges, predict outcomes, and provide timely interventions.
  • Therapeutic Engagement: Build and maintain strong, therapeutic relationships with tangata whaiora and their whānau, ensuring they remain active participants in their care journey.
  • Intervention Management: Initiate and monitor treatments, ensuring that therapeutic responses are optimal and any adverse effects are addressed promptly.
  • Cultural Integration: Assist tangata whaiora and their whānau in integrating the implications of their mental health into their broader lives, always with a foundation in kaupapa Māori values.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Clinical Registration: Registration as a MH Nurse, Social Worker or another profession under the HPCA act
  • Compassionate Care: A professional who is assertive yet non-judgmental, with the ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
  • Community Experience: Previous experience in community-based mental health is essential.
  • Cultural Competence: A commitment to delivering care that aligns with kaupapa Māori principles, including aroha, whanaungatanga, and manaakitanga.

What we offer:
