About Us
He Tawharau is an exciting new mental health innovative for the care of whānau experiencing mental distress.
This service is managed by Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga in collaboration with our service partners Te Whatu Ora, MSD and Police to provide whanau centric care, where the needs of the whanau are at the centre of the model of care for the service.
Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga (TToH) is a health and social services provider, supporting our local community in Hawkes Bay. We are a values-based organisation who thread our cultural values of Whakamana, Kaitiakitanga, Whanaungatanga and Kotahitanga through everything we do.
As the step-down service from the Mental Health Unit at Hastings Memorial hospital, we are there to provide short term care and clinical support to whānau as they continue on their wellness journey. This is a 6 bed Crisis Respite service. Providing 24/7 care, we have 12 hour shift rosters [am and pm] with a MH Nurse and MH Kaimanaaki working together on each shift.
If you are looking for an opportunity to be part of a refreshing and unique mental health service that is driven by kaupapa Māori values in providing personalised care with aroha and manaakitaunga. Then this is the service for you.
We are looking for Mental Health Nurses to provide casual cover as required for our permanent Nurse workforce. We have plenty of mahi – you tell us when you are available to work and how many hours you want to work.
