Position: Part-time working 31 hours per fortnight.

This permanent part-time position is based in Palmerston North and supports people across both Palmerston North and Foxton

As a Medication Support Worker, you will support people in the community to take the correct medication at the correct time, as prescribed by their healthcare provider. You will follow individual medication support plans, maintain accurate medication records and daily notes, and report any health, medication or environmental concerns.

You will also provide emotional support, advocacy, education and encouragement to support people’s overall health and wellbeing.


Hours of Work

  • Week 1: Monday 5pm–9pm; Tuesday 7pm–9pm; Saturday and Sunday 8am–11.30am and 5pm–9pm. 
  • Week 2: Monday 5pm–9pm; Tuesday 7pm–9pm; Saturday and Sunday 7pm–9pm. 

Skills and Experience:

  • A Passion for People: Be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate, and genuinely connect with people
  • Empathy & Understanding: An understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles.
  • Team Player: Professional, honest, and a reliable team-player with a flexible mindset.
  • Driver Licence: A Full NZ Driver Licence is essential
  • Previous Experience: Mental Health work  or lived experience essential
