The role 

We are looking for an experienced person to lead our dynamic and busy communications team. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Palmerston North. You will have a great team who will support you in this hands-on role as you lead and implement media, communication and promotion activities for Horizons Regional Council.

About you 

We need a creative individual who can read between the lines and think outside the box to deliver proactive media and communications strategies. You will be able to gain support for Horizons’ partnerships, come up with innovative ideas to promote the exciting work that Horizons does, as well as being practiced in media liaison and brand management. Your proven track record for leading a team will speak for itself. You also won’t be afraid of embracing a changing local government environment and the challenges and opportunities this brings in the communications space.
