Are you a commercially minded marketing leader who enjoys turning ideas, guest insight and business priorities into clear, creative and well-executed communication? This is a fantastic opportunity to lead integrated marketing and communications for Christchurch Casino while contributing to initiatives across the wider Iris Capital casino group.

As our Marketing and Communication Manager, you will connect audiences through campaigns, content, digital channels and reporting, ensuring marketing activity is coordinated, purposeful and easy for the business to engage with. While focused on Christchurch Casino, you will work with colleagues across The Reef Hotel Casino, Casino Canberra and Lasseters to share ideas, leverage assets and support group opportunities. This hands-on leadership role requires oversight of key channels and collaboration with leaders to deliver engaging, accurate and on-brand communications aligned with commercial, regulatory and host responsibility expectations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading our marketing planning, campaign calendars and communication priorities
  • Contributing to Iris Capital group marketing initiatives and identifying opportunities to share capability, ideas and assets across the casino portfolio
  • Overseeing guest-facing communications across email, website, social media, digital displays, on-site collateral and promotional material
  • Partnering with Loyalty, Food and Beverage and wider teams to turn approved guest propositions into clear, effective marketing activity
  • Leading brand, content and creative quality across casino and guest communication channels
  • Coordinating the Christchurch Casino brand with other brands across the wider group, including the group’s online brand, while maintaining Christchurch Casino’s distinct positioning, customer promise and regulatory requirements
  • Using digital, campaign and guest data to improve relevance, timing, performance and return on activity
  • Championing practical and responsible AI use to improve marketing efficiency, creative development and content production
  • Leading, coaching and supporting the Marketing team so priorities are clear, work is well planned and stakeholders experience responsive, solutions-focused partnership
  • Bringing internal capability and external agency support together so campaigns are clear, consistent and well connected
  • Taking a hands-on role when needed with campaign content, channel updates, EDM preparation, digital activity, briefing, proofing and final checks
  • Ensuring marketing activity is accurate, compliant, responsible and well controlled, including complying with Christchurch Casino’s Host Responsibility Programme and associated training and reporting requirements

About you

You will be a marketing leader who can see the big picture, understand what different audiences need and translate that insight into practical activity that delivers. You will bring strong channel knowledge, confident people leadership and the ability to communicate across teams to build alignment, make sound decisions and keep work moving. You will also be comfortable staying close to the work—reviewing copy, shaping content, checking channel activity and supporting delivery when pace or priorities require it. You will be curious and committed to keeping your knowledge current across marketing, communications, digital channels, AI-enabled technologies, industry trends and regulatory requirements.

You may already be leading campaigns, digital marketing, audience activity or integrated marketing in a busy customer-facing environment and be ready for a broader role with greater influence, visibility and responsibility. You will be collaborative and commercially minded, comfortable balancing local priorities with opportunities to contribute across a wider group. Experience in a regulated, complex or guest-led environment would be a real advantage, along with exposure to food and beverage, entertainment, gaming, tourism, membership or loyalty programmes.

What we offer

At Christchurch Casino, you will be part of a large, dynamic business with a diverse range of talented and enthusiastic people. We offer a safe and supportive working environment, learning and development opportunities, and a range of employee benefits that recognise the contribution our people make to the business.

Benefits may include medical insurance, training and development, discounted food and beverage in Casino bars and restaurants, staff events, employee assistance support, discounted parking and other employee benefits.
