Cooke Howlison is seeking a Marketing Manager to join Otago's leading motor group, to cover a 12-month maternity leave period. It is an exciting time to join the automotive industry and help establish solutions at the forefront of technology and customer needs in the market. We have recently been awarded Toyota’s top store in NZ winning the Supreme Award for overall excellence in 2025 and we anticipate new opportunities may grow from this fixed term period for the right candidate.

The Marketing Manager's primary focus is on marketing leading global brands, products and services in a local context across Otago.  In this role you will work with multiple franchises; Toyota, BMW, GMSV, Hyundai, Isuzu, MG and MINI.

 Responsibilities include:

  • Retail advertising for new and preowned vehicles, as well as aftersales, managing beginning-to-end inbound and outbound campaigns
  • Be the brand champion for all franchises, maintaining national and global standards
  • Lead digital strategy including website management, display, CPC, AdWords, lead nurture etc
  • Liaise with a number of stakeholders including national franchises, partners, suppliers, and community sponsors 
  • Organise events such as vehicle launches, showroom functions and promotional activations
  • Gather marketing analytics and insights to generate monthly and quarterly reports
  • Maintain marketing spend effectively within budgets

Key attributes of the successful applicant:

  • Marketing experience with franchise and retail networks 
  • Relevant marketing qualifications
  • Competent with Mailchimp, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Tech-savvy
  • Well organised self-starter
  • Excellent communication skills
