Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

The Marketing Assistant is a full-time permanent role and supports the development and execution of effective, inclusive, and results-driven marketing activity that promotes EIT's profile, programmes, and priorities. This includes planning, coordination, and delivery of advertising, collateral production, online engagement, and event promotion. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver campaigns and content that reflect EIT's values and support recruitment, engagement, and institutional reputation.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $53,196 and $61,122, dependent on skills and experience.

The Marketing Assistant is based in our Marketing and Communications Division at Hawkes Bay (Taradale Campus), reporting to the Marketing Communications (Marcomms) Manager, and will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and implementing tactical marketing and advertising campaigns across various media.
  • Managing creative briefs, production schedules, and liaising with agencies and media outlets.
  • Producing marketing collateral and maintaining culturally inclusive content.
  • Supporting digital marketing activities and monitoring engagement.
  • Providing promotional support for events and ensuring brand consistency.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in marketing, communications, or media coordination.
  • Strong project coordination skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills, including copywriting and editing.
  • Understanding of digital platforms, social media, and content production.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communities.
