We’re looking for an experienced Manager Insurance Conduct to join our Insurance Solutions Team for a 2-year fixed term. Based in Palmerston North (other locations also considered) and reporting to the Chief Insurance Officer, you’ll lead FMG’s Client Remediation Programme ensuring projects are delivered on time, meet regulatory standards, and uphold our commitment to fair conduct.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage FMG’s remediation activities, ensuring projects are delivered in line with policy, standards, and regulatory expectations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business, including Insurance Solutions, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk and Communications.
  • Apply insurance, regulatory compliance, and legal expertise to deliver project plans and resolve issues.
  • Provide regular reporting to FMG Committees and drive continuous improvement in conduct and compliance.
  • Lead effective change management for employees and clients as part of remediation activities.

What You’ll Bring

  • Law degree or relevant tertiary qualification.
  • 10+ years’ experience in insurance, legal, or compliance roles, with demonstrated experience in insurance product management and client remediation.
  • Deep understanding of the New Zealand insurance market, regulatory environment, and rural sector.
  • Advanced skills in stakeholder management, communication, project management, and critical analysis.
  • Proven ability to drive change, ensure compliance, and deliver outstanding client outcomes.
