Management Accountant
Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role
The Management Accountant is a permanent full-time role in Hawke's Bay responsible for providing accurate, timely and relevant financial information and advice to support informed decision-making across EIT.
The remuneration for this role will be between $90,000 and $100,000 dependant on skills and experience.
The Management Accountant is based in Finance reporting to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for:
- Preparing monthly and ad hoc financial reports, analysis and management information.
- Monitoring financial performance and providing insight against budgets and plans.
- Supporting managers with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Analysing programme viability, profitability and business performance.
- Contributing to the development of business cases and financial recommendations.
- Developing and maintaining financial models, tools and spreadsheets.
- Providing expert financial advice and support to managers across EIT.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of finance systems, processes and controls.
- Assisting with annual budgeting, reforecasting and audit requirements.
- Building strong business partnering relationships to support informed decision-making.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience in a management accounting role.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills.
- Experience interpreting financial data and translating it into meaningful insights.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with financial systems.
- Experience preparing management reports, forecasts and financial models.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Experience supporting business leaders with financial decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
