Mana Ake is an exciting programme providing school-based support promoting wellbeing and delivering Mental Health support for our primary and intermediate-aged tamariki (years 0-8).
Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga (TToH), have been empowering whānau for almost 40 years through kaupapa Māori values-driven health, social, education, and community development services and we are proud to be the organisation rolling out this programme to schools and communities in Hastings and Central Hawke’s Bay. Guided by our vision, Te Haaro o te Kahu ki Tauwhakarere – The Hawk sees beyond the horizon to our future, we are committed to creating brighter futures for our whānau and communities.
The Mana Ake programme proved successful in Christchurch and Kaikoura working with tamariki and their whānau who were impacted by natural disasters and now Mana Ake has been funded to provide programmes across the entire country including here in Hawke’s Bay.
