Due to internal promotions and business growth we need an additional Team Leader for our contract maintenance business. Is that you?
About the Job
Our Team Leaders play a proactive hands-on leadership role overseeing teams of professional tradespeople providing maintenance and reliability expertise to a wide and varied range of customers including fisheries, food production, aquaculture and marine, sawmills, MDF/LVL manufacturing and more.
Consequently, you will get to use your extensive maintenance engineering skills, knowledge, and abilities to deal with diverse on-the-job challenges whilst leading and supporting the team under your supervision. You will also get to extend your new business development skills as you further develop your client relationship capabilities.
About you
Trade qualified in a relevant mechanical engineering field and with solid hands-on maintenance experience, both breakdown and preventative, you may already be in a foreperson/supervisory type of role or you might be a leading-hand hungry for your next step.
You love nothing better than to be working on bearings, seals, machinery alignment, gearboxes, transmissions, and pump/valve/pipe systems. At the same time you have great people skills and genuinely enjoy leading and coaching your team to produce high quality work.
An outgoing person, comfortable interacting directly with clients, you will be unafraid of proactively seeking additional work opportunities for your team. Comfortable using computer software, you enjoy admin tasks such as estimating, quoting, creating job packs, etc.
With a desire to get in and use your excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills to resolve customer problems, ideally you will also have:
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Exposure to condition monitoring and reporting.
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Certified competence as a TIG/MMAW welder.
