About the Role

Rockit Packing Company Ltd. is seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer/Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will provide technical support and maintenance services to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of our Irongate facilities. You’ll play a key part in maximising equipment reliability, supporting production needs, and driving continual process improvements.  

This is a rare opportunity offering approx. 50 hours per week on a day shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily checks, scheduled maintenance, and inspections on plant and equipment.
  • Develop and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support equipment operators.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Carry out timely repairs and provide on-the-floor production support.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all site facilities, including packhouse, coolstore, and CA rooms.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
  • Support project work, ensuring tasks are completed within deadlines and budget.
  • Participate in an on-call roster system for weekend and after-hours support.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualification in engineering/electrical or equivalent.
  • Experience in FMCG or a relevant industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise workload.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude.
