Mō tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role
We are seeking a full‑time, permanent Mātauranga Māori Lead to join our Māori Student Success Team at EIT.
This role provides leadership and specialist expertise to support EIT managers and kaimahi to give effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and to advance the implementation of Herea Te Rā, EIT’s Māori capability development framework, across the organisation. The role supports staff to strengthen culturally responsive and relational pedagogy and to meaningfully embed kaupapa Māori and Mātauranga Māori into curriculum, teaching, and professional practice.
This position is based in Hawke's Bay, reports to the Mātauranga Māori Team Leader, and works closely with academic leaders, kaimahi, and mana whenua to support equitable outcomes for ākonga Māori.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $90,000 and $110,000, dependent on skills and experience.
