Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

Southern Cross' Invercargill hospital is widely known and used by people throughout the Southland and Queenstown-Wakatipu basin areas. Our hospital in Invercargill provides services to around 4,200 patients annually, has 26 in-patient beds and a day surgery unit. 

Orthopaedic surgery is a significant part of the workflow and this position requires the effective coordination and management of incoming and outgoing  loan sets and consignment implants/items from suppliers and other hospitals. The role also ensure loans sets/items are processed in accordance with all current standards and Infection control policies.

  • To be a team player with good organisational and time management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly and enjoy working in a fast paced environment
  • Experience in healthcare setting,  Sterile Services or Loans roles would be desired
  • To be physically fit as there is manual handling required
