About the role: Reporting to the Life & Health Centre Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our Life & Health operations, supporting advisers and clients by delivering efficient, high-quality, and proactive administrative support. This is a client-facing role, primarily phone-based, where you’ll help ensure a smooth and timely experience across both underwriting and claims processes.

You’ll manage the underwriting pipeline, follow up on outstanding requirements, and coordinate with external providers to build strong working relationships and keep things moving. You’ll also manage claims requirements, ensuring clients receive a smooth and timely experience during what can be a challenging time. The role is fast-paced and varied, no two days are the same.  You will be based in Palmerston North with our Life and Health Centre.

About you:

  • Has previous experience in a customer service / administration role, confidently engaging with clients providing a high standard of service and professionalism
  • Has familiarity within Life and Health / Financial Services environments
  • Is a highly organised with excellent time management and can take initiative to solve problems before they arise
  • Ideally has good analytical skills and experience with task prioritisation to confidently manage competing demands
  • Can demonstrate experience building strong trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Has experience working collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to shared goals and fostering a positive culture.
  • Can communicate clearly and professionally — both verbally and in writing
  • Has experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, SharePoint and third-party platforms to gather information and manage workflows.
