Legacy Giving Advisor - Fixed Term (6 months) - 10 hours per week

Mō te tūranga - About the role 

We are seeking a Legacy Giving Advisor to support the development and growth of PSC’s Gifts in Wills (Legacy Giving) programme.

Focus will be on connecting with our confirmed bequestors, strengthening our donor relationships, improving collation of database information and developing a sustainable framework for future legacy donor acquisition and stewardship.

Working collaboratively across fundraising, administration, and marketing functions, this role will help deliver stewardship and engagement initiatives, support brand awareness and lead generation activities; contributing towards a structured pipeline of legacy supporters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with existing and prospective legacy donors, including an initial focus on reconnecting and engaging with confirmed bequestors
  • Developing and implementing communication, stewardship, and engagement initiatives to strengthen PSC’s Legacy Giving programme
  • Identifying, researching, and nurturing potential legacy giving opportunities within PSC’s donor and supporter base to help build a sustainable pipeline of future legacy supporters
  • Working collaboratively with fundraising, administration, and Marketing & Communications teams to support donor engagement, campaigns, brand awareness, and lead generation activities
  • Partnering with Marketing & Communications to develop supporting collateral, donor communications, and promotional resources for PSC’s Legacy Giving programme
  • Maintaining accurate donor records, engagement activity, and relationship notes within PSC’s donor database system, while supporting donor data integrity, reporting, and programme tracking

Legacy giving is an important long-term investment for PSC and will play a key role in supporting our future financial sustainability and mission impact, aligned with PSC’s Strategic Plan to 2030. 

There is potential for this role to become permanent, subject to on-going development of programme outcomes.

Mō koe - About You 

You will be a confident and relationship-focused communicator who enjoys connecting with people and building genuine, lasting relationships. You are comfortable engaging in conversations about philanthropy and legacy giving, and are passionate about helping people and supporting causes that make a meaningful difference in their communities.

You will bring:

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with a wide range of people
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive and organised approach, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confidence working independently while also collaborating effectively across teams
  • Experience working with donor databases/CRMs and maintaining accurate records and reporting
  • Alignment with PSC’s values and a genuine passion for supporting the wellbeing of people, families, and communities

The successful candidate will also be willing and able to travel across the PSC region as required.
