 Are you a vet nurse with strong hands-on skills and a passion for education? 

UCOL’s veterinary nursing team are seeking a suitably qualified professional to teach part-time on our highly acclaimed programmes at our Manawatū Campus in Palmerston North. 

With a minimum of two years clinical experience and relevant qualification in veterinary nursing you will teach on the NZ Certificate in Animal Care L3 and practical classes for year 1 of the NZ Diploma in Veterinary Nursing programmes. 

This is a part-time (22 hrs per week) fixed term position, ideally starting 6 July 2026 and ending 23 December 2026 covering staff leave.

Skills & Experience

 Diploma in Vet Nursing Level 6, BVSc, BVTech or equivalent.

 Preference for at least two years industry experience.

 Previous teaching experience is an advantage.

 An Adult Tertiary Teaching qualification and/or the NZ Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy

Education and/or unit 4098 workbased assessor or be working toward these
