UCOL's Faculty of Health and Humanities has an exciting opportunity available for a motivated Lecturer. We have available a fixed term (0.8FTE) Lecturer position based at our Wairarapa Campus, teaching our Study and Employment Pathways Level 4 programme.
We are looking for someone who has experience teaching at Certificate level, preferable with an Adult Teaching qualification and skills for teaching introductory communications, study skills and basic science and mathematics within the context of health sciences.
The team considers flexibility, innovation and engagement to be the key in our staff. Our teaching research and professional development are aimed to deliver education and evidence-based learning for the future. In the position you will actively contribute to the on-going delivery of pathway education within the tertiary environment including the implementation of innovative teaching practices.

· Minimum of a Level 5 qualification
· Previous teaching experience would be an advantage
· An adult teaching qualification (e.g. NZCATT) or be working towards same
· Comfortable and competent using various forms of technology and teaching via distance learning
· You will be an excellent communicator
· Ability to work with a wide range of learners
· Proven problem-solving ability
· Able to think on your feet
· Team Player
· You are culturally competent and are committed to working in a manner which upholds the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Requirements:
· A full driver’s licence
· Pre-employment Criminal Convictions Check.
· Clean from the influences of drugs and alcohol in the workplace at all times.
